These rules apply to every page on AI Hosting Lab.
1. Only claims we can back
Numbers labelled as Lab results come from servers we rented and scripts we ran, with the date and server named. They are rendered from one data file, so the same number reads the same on every page. Providers we have not tested yet are marked "not yet tested", and we compare them only by their official pricing and spec pages, with the date we checked.
2. Something new in every article
Before we write, we read what already ranks for the topic. An article is published only if it adds something those pages lack: our measurements, a price over time, a configuration we actually run, what broke and how we fixed it, or a calculator. If we have nothing to add, we improve an existing page instead.
3. Sources
Facts that are not Lab data come from official documentation first (n8n, Ollama, Supabase, Ubuntu, the providers), then reputable independent sources. Sources are listed at the end of each article.
4. Prices
We show regular or renewal prices next to promo prices and name the month we checked them. Hosting prices change often; tables built from our price data show their check date.
5. Money and independence
We buy test servers ourselves and never through our own affiliate links. Commissions never decide a verdict. See the affiliate disclosure.
6. Corrections and updates
We re-run tests when providers change hardware or prices and update the affected pages and their "Updated" date. Report errors to lab@aihostinglab.com with the URL and what you see.
7. Safety
Security and server-administration steps describe what we did and tested. Where a mistake could lock you out or expose data, the article says how to test the step safely first.
